His use in the Holiday Special (which Lucas had no involvement with) was be design to introduce kids to the new character from the sequel and to market the mail-away action figure. Fett's role was then minimized in the script.Dengarnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5244647450237014911.post-75718997349487730682012-11-28T23:39:41.421-08:002012-11-28T23:39:41.421-08:00Johnston didn't create Boba Fett. He was created for the animated short for the Star Wars Christmas Special which Joe had NOTHING to do with.

He did design the look of the character for the film. But it was modeled after the character design created by the artist of Nelvana. They created the original look for the character. The character was created by the writers of a special that can no longer be found.Yuri Tourauksianoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5244647450237014911.post-55589371032069169722012-11-28T22:32:36.713-08:002012-11-28T22:32:36.713-08:00Cast my vote for Joe Johnston.Cast my vote for Joe Johnston.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5244647450237014911.post-44854132691966701242012-11-28T22:18:16.622-08:002012-11-28T22:18:16.622-08:00Joe Johnston would be my #1 choice. He created Boba Fett for God's sake, the most iconic Star Wars character next to Vader. He knows special effects intimately with his work at ILM and did an outstanding job bringing Captain America and The Rocketeer to the screen. Joe Johnston should be handed the reigns to helm the trilogy.Boba Fettishnoreply@blogger.com
