Heavy Crowds, Perfect Days, Soft Openings...

If you've been to the Disneyland Resort this week you've noticed that Spring Break is on and the parks have gotten even more crowded...

If you're in Southern California right now you know the weather just can't get any better. Clear blue skies, not a cloud in sight and warm sunshine to follow you throughout the day...

If you happen to be in DCA starting tomorrow you'll get a nice surprise if you're there during the middle of the day...

That's when the soft openings of Pixar's Play Parade will begin. Don't expect much advance notice, but expect to have a great time and see some really, trippy, fun floats.

It's all advancing up to the new experience that the Mouse will hope you'll start to notice come fall... this park is evolving into a "Disney" theme park...

Imagine that.

Pixarification Nation...

Yet more ammo for those of you that don't like the "Pixarification" of the parks. While I don't want everything in DCA to be from Pixar, I will tell you that this parade is a great deal of fun and will actually help turn this park into a real "Disney" theme park.

The Lamp's Parade Debuts...

Those of you that have heard about the Pixar Play Parade that starts in the middle of March have finally seen the artwork. Now that Disney's released videos featuring concept art I guess it's ok to post it...

Marilyn Magness, the Director Creative and Parks Entertainment is a very talented lady. She's in charge of Steven Davison's fun and interesting parade that is more traditional than the Block Party Bash we had before(no long stops for this one). PPP is kind of a hybrid between a traditional parade over at Disneyland combined with the Hong Kong parade. It actually looks a lot like Dr. Seuss meets Pixar... these floats are very detailed and very trippy. Fun stuff. Just wait till you see what she's cooking up for DCA's tenth anniversary.
