All of Disney's parks have some parts that are beautiful.
Even DCA has very well themed areas like Golden State and Hollywood Backlot, although very few of them compared to other parks.
Disney's Animal Kingdom has some of the most gorgeous scenery. If the gharish areas in Dinoland U.S.A. was themed a little better and Camp Mickey Minnie was leveled and Beastley Kingdomme was put in its place then it could possibly be considered the most beautiful, but not for now.
Disneyland here in California is lovely, but the cramped size limitations have caused a clash of styles that prevent it from being the loveliest.
So, which parks are the most beautiful?
Actually... it's a tie!
Which ones, you say?
Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disneysea.
Disneyland Paris had the benifit of being built after DL, MK and TDL so it was able to take advantage of a great planning process. If only they'd not built too many hotel rooms then that resort wouldn't be in the financial trouble it has had to deal with the last fifteen years. The weather is one of the few negatives of the park, the other being that there is no Jungle Cruise... this is a result of the first negative, the weather.
Tokyo Disneysea is simply put... Lovely. It is so well crafted. One could wonder around the park for hours not riding anything and still have a great time just examining the voluminous details. Disneysea is one of the things that make me really, really want to club Michael Eisner over the head since it's original genesis was supposed to be built here in Long Beach. Disney being cheap turns into a company like OLC dropping enough cash to create a variation of what we should have gotten. Sigh...

New "Most" Series: Most Beautiful Castles
Each park has its own unique parts. Every Disneyland has it's own castle, it's own vesion of the lands and all. We start a new series today where we are going to give our opinion as to what is the most beautiful, best looking architectual aspects of the parks.
This segment will focus on the castle.
Disneyland has the original Sleeping Beauty Castel.
The Magic Kingdom had a bigger, taller version of its own known as Cinderella Castle.
Tokyo Disneyland chose to have a copy of the Magic Kingdom's Cinderella Castle with minor differences.
Disneyland Paris went and started from scratch and created a more "European" version of Sleeping Beauty Castle.
And lastly, Hong Kong Disneyland chose to copy the original Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Now each is beautiful. Each has it's own individuality, but in my opinion the most beautiful is...
Disneyland Paris.
There is just something enchanting about this castle with all it's detail and little extras like the Dragon beneath it. All of them have their own magic, but this one is simply the most all encompasing, interms of bringing out the Disney magic.

DCA To Become Part Of Downtown Disney???
In his latest column about the world of Disney theme parks, Miceage columnist Al Lutz says that WDI is split into two factions as to what to do about Disney's California Adventure.
The first group wants to move ahead with Lasseter's plan to pump almost 700 million dollars into the park to make it a viable sister park to Disneyland.
The other group, supported by Tony Baxter wants to basically tear down the turnstiles and make DCA and extension of Downtown Disney that will have rides that park goers will to ride with their current admission. Locals to DD will have to pay a fee per ride.
Personally, I don't want Disney to pull the plug on this just yet and plan on asking my friends that work there what's up. If they work with Lasseter and spend the appropriate money then it should be a fine park to go to over the next decade. Here's praying Iger doesn't throw in the towel.

Capt'n Jack Plunders Loot In Britannia...
1.5million copies of the film POTC: Dead Man's Chest starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley have already been sold; it is estimated that if demand for the DVD is maintained then 3million copies will have been sold by the end of the year.
Brian Winsor, Disney’s marketing boss said of the DVD rush: “It seems as though the appeal of Jack Sparrow and his shipmates goes on.”
Locale government officials said the culprit was described as a pirate. It's been centuries since pirates invaded the island. God save the Queen!

The Frog Princess Has Soul?
The latest rumors regarding "The Frog Princess" are that it will feature Disney's first "African-American" Princess and be set in or with the flavor of New Orleans. This might be the explanation as to why Ron Clements & John Musker were quoted as saying this would be an American rendition of the classic story. It also might explain John Lasseters desire to use Randy Newman for the score. Can't wait... 2D animation coming back to Disney. ;)

Crush's Coaster cruises the French Seas?
The Walt Disney Studios Paris park is getting some much needed help next summer. For the 15th anniversary of Disneyland Paris Resort, Crush's Coaster and a Cars themed ride will be open next summer.
Late 2007 or early 2008 the Tower of Terror will open up. These rides will hopefully give this cousin to DCA a badly needed attendance boost. If the parks numbers climb to a reasonable level then plans are for a big expansion that will finally make this park a worthy companion to Disneyland Paris by 2012.
Just in time for the Resort to celebrate the 10th year of Walt Disney Studios Paris... or will we be calling it Disney-Pixar Studios by then? I'll have to wait till we get more info from our Imagineer spies to say anymore.

Disney's Profit$ Double
"LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The Walt Disney Co. said on Thursday its quarterly profit doubled on strong results for its films, TV networks and theme parks, but its shares fell 2 percent after touching a five-year high in regular trade."
Now if they will use some of that money to improve the image of several parks. Walt Disney Studio Paris, DCA and even WDW could use a little TLC.
DCA Rumors...
Well, Midway Mania appears to be moving right along with it's construction. The signs for Maliburritos have been taken down. Other than that nothing else is really visible since most of the construction is going on beneath the roller coaster right now. It will be a long while before the front signage becomes "Mictorian", July, 2008 I believe. I can't wait for this place to look more like a Disney park and less like Six Flaggs.
