Flash Forward Episode Seven: The Gift...

Here I'm back with another post to one of the very few shows that I watch...

If you didn't get to see it, ABC's latest episode of "Flash Forward" on last Thursday night was entitled: "The Gift" and it was really, very good. Seven episodes and it keeps getting creepier and yet, more intriguing dealing with these people's lives. The ending made me wonder how they'll explain a few important things.

So if you didn't see it on Hulu, here it is.

My gift to you...

Episode Seven - The Gift.

Flash Forward Episode Six: Scary Monsters and Super Creeps...

Once again, Blue Sky Disney is here to evangalize to you that, unlike me this Thursday, missed ABC's "Flash Forward" episode six; we have your Hulu fix, I mean links...

Episode Six - Scary Monsters and Super Creeps.

There aren't many television shows that I watch, but this new one is one of a handful of shows that I make a point of seeing or streaming from Hulu when I have the time. If you've missed the pilot or the last five episodes, shame on you. But start with episode two and hang on or in, depending on how you look at it (to see Ep. One you'll have to wait for reruns or DVD, sadly). With "Lost" leaving the Alphabet Network next year, this series will hopefully pick up where that show will leave off.

It's a fun ride...

Flash Forward Episode Four: Gimme Some Truth...

And as a continuing example of courtesy to those of you that, like me, missed ABC's "Flash Forward" broadcast the fifth episode, Hulu is once again here to save you...

Episode Five - Gimme Some Truth.

This show has quickly became my favorite new show. I've actually talked to some people that say the sixth episode is where it hits its stride. And then there are some that say the new remake of "V" is ABC's best new show. I don't know.

It'd have to be really great to beat this one...

Flash Forward Episode Four: Black Swan...

For those of you that, like me, had to be somewhere on Thursday when ABC's "Flash Forward" broadcast the fourth episode, Hulu is here to save you...

Episode Four - Black Swan.

Nothing can stop the future from happening, but nothing should prevent you from watching it either...

22 Flashes Forward...

The new show "Flash Forward" has been given a full season order by the Suits at the Alphabet Network...

Now we can look forward to 22 episodes that peer into the mysterious cause of the worldwide blackout/flash of everyone's future. If you haven't seen the show yet, you can see it over at Hulu. I've watched the first two episodes when they aired and missed the third episode, so I streamed it from my computer the other night. It's really cool, clever and if you like shows like "Lost," "Heroes" or "24" give it a look.

Here's the Flash Forward Hulu Links:

Episode One - No More Good Days.

Episode Two - White To Play.

Episode Three - 137 Sekunden.

After that ending to EP 3 I think you're going to be hooked...

Looking To Get Lost...

With "Lost" about to enter its final season, the network is looking for a replacement to the show...

Actually, it's been looking for a couple years. A show as popular and cult-like as this one is hard to come by and the Alphabet Network has been looking to have something ready to take on that mantle.

"Flash Forward" will likely be that show. It's good, real good. Well written, compelling characters that are expertly cast, and talented direction I might add (Goyer redeems himself for "Blade 3"). The story is sci-fi set in the present day world and it's twist is a hook that will keep people watching week after week to find out what's going on. Just as Lost was filled with strange mysteries and plot points we couldn't understand (hello, Dharma Initiative), but would watch week after week to get the answer, so FF has these important story lines as well. Many people will draw parallels between the two shows, but if I had to pitch it I'd go with this: "What if Lost and Heroes had a child named Jack Bauer?" That crudely would describe the show in a high-concept nutshell.

David S. Goyer has fashioned a show that's rich in characters and drama wrapped in a mystery disguised as a thriller. If you don't know what Fast Forward is, well imagine a story following several different people around the world as they try and piece together the reason for a massive worldwide blackout that happens one morning. Imagine if you and everyone on the earth suddenly lost consciousness and saw for those two minutes what your life would be like six months from now. What if what you saw was something horrible or an event you had waited for all your life. Would it be something that you could change? Could it be something that is man-made? And most importantly, why?

If you want to be drawn into this world then tune in that new HDTV to the ABC Network tomorrow night and become part of the next Lost. I've already seen this show twice and I'll be watching it again when it premieres. It's really that good. I can't wait to see how the story progresses.

Thursday night, become lost in this new world...

The Alphabet Flashes Forward...

The Mouse's ABC Network is about to buy/greenlight "Flash Forward" as a television series. The show, which will be based on a sci-fi nover by Robert J. Sawyer, is to be written and produced by David S. Goyer (“Blade: The Series”) and Brannon Braga (“Star Trek: Enterprise”) with Goyer directing the pilot...

For those of you that are pop-culturally illiterate, Goyer is also the man responsible for "Batman Begins", "Blade 1-3" and the upcoming "Flash" film. I don't want to just bind his credits to the Blade television show, which was crap since he has done a good deal of really, really cool stuff. As for Braga, while I wasn't a big fan of Enterprise, he did produce "24" so that gets major kudos with me.

The story involves physicists who are conducting a secret, high-energy experiment that goes awry and causes people all across the planet to experience two-minutes and seventeen seconds of their own future decades in the future. This causes societal problems with people getting a glimpse of their future without really understanding the context of what they saw...
