CorrupTRON...

Rectify...

With all of the hype leading up to Tron Legacy there's been one question that's been nagging the fans; "Where's Tron?" After all, he's the title character, right? Well Joseph Kosinski did say that Tron would make an "appearance" of sorts.

The Marvel Comics prequel "Betrayal" is about to shed some light on Tron's whereabouts. This is pretty big spoiler information so if you don't want to know go back to the Real World now...

There's compelling evidence that Rinzler is Tron. First, he has the same square "T" pattern on his chest as Tron. Second, he has not one but TWO identity disks. Third, he's Clu's head of security. The Code, the Code...

Programmers Unite...
With all the Tron related stuff that's coming out soon, I thought this would be nice...

What you're looking at is the front cover/back cover for the Marvel Comics prequel to the film, "Tron: Betrayal." Pretty cool, huh? The painting, done by famous comic book artist Jock is one of several that he produced for the project. Here are the rest if you'd like to take a look at them.

By September the onslaught of Tronmania will begin to build and build until you cannot stop or avoid it.

Betraying Tron...

Comics first, then the world...

You would have to figure that will the Mouse's four billion dollar purchase there would be a lot of cross-cultural tie-ins...

They will happen. Slowly. But one example coming out soon is the Marvel Comic two issue series "Tron: The Betrayal," set in the World of Tron. The company is coming out with a prequel to "Tron Legacy" in October. Imagine if it's a success? Imagine a monthly Tron comic the way Star Wars had one for many years over at Marvel in the late 70s through the 80's. Imagine that and a whole lot more, because it's coming.

Not just for Legacy, but a great deal of the Mouse's other works...
