Covering Tron...

The Code, the Code...

Programmers Unite...
With all the Tron related stuff that's coming out soon, I thought this would be nice...

What you're looking at is the front cover/back cover for the Marvel Comics prequel to the film, "Tron: Betrayal." Pretty cool, huh? The painting, done by famous comic book artist Jock is one of several that he produced for the project. Here are the rest if you'd like to take a look at them.

By September the onslaught of Tronmania will begin to build and build until you cannot stop or avoid it.

Give in, Programs...

Hat Tip to io9.

What if nobody goes to see this Tron remake like the disasters Prince of Persia and Sorcerer's Apprentice?

It's odd that they used Walt Disney Pictures' old logo on the back of the novel.

@Concerned:

I think that "Tron:Legacy" will have a large opening but it will have to rely upon it's actual merits beyond that. Given the fact that it's 3D, my prediction is this: Anything less then $250M domestic is a failure. It doesn't become a "hit" in the classical sense until it reaches $450M domestic because of the budget, star power and marketing.

I don't see this film being huge internationally - It's primarily an American property with limited international appeal. Ironically, Prince of Persia has done fairly well overseas, making up for the soft domestic revenue. Sorcerer's Apprentice is just weak all around because it was not a good property to develop (what's next? Jungle Cruise: The Movie?). Also, Nicholas Cage is no longer an "event" headliner - His problems with paying back taxes has made his movie selections appear desperate which makes discerning movie goers wary of the quality of his films.
