Mmmmm...
A smidun' of honey would be nice...
Whew, it's good to be back...
I'm sure you saw this yesterday, but I thought I'd post it just the same. Here is the one sheet for the new "Winnie the Pooh" film. I really like it, since I prefer simple and classy designs. It's reflective of that style.
Here's looking forward to the Mouse's next hand drawn film...

Glad to see the blog is back!
Observing Gnomeo and Juliet's decent box office performance makes me feel confident that Pooh will do decently this summer.
This is pure gold. Adventurous and lovely. The last two posters redeemed the first and have set my countdown for opening night.
Let us not compare Gnomeo and Juliet with Pooh, because that is like comparing Pooh with Poo.
.. and yet "Poo" is outranking Disney/Dreamworks I Am Number Four, which was supposed to be the next great "franchise".
I believe this was one of Dick Cook's final projects he supported and greenlighted.
If "Poo" does any better, I bet it will become this decade's Nightmare Before Christmas and eventually adopt the Disney branding.
I gotta take a MAXIMUM pooh right now.
Gnomeo and Juliet is winning by default. They have zip competition in the family film venue right now. Things may be different for Pooh...but I hope it does well anyway.
"I believe this was one of Dick Cook's final projects he supported and greenlighted."
Dick Cook had nothing to do with this picture. This is a DreamWorks release. Disney is the distributor. It gets a fee for that as well as covering the marketing of the picture. Steven Spielberg and his executives decide what they want to make. Disney has no say in the matter. DreamWorks can make between five and six films a year that the Walt Disney Studios will distribute under the Touchstone brand.
Hope that clears all of this up for you.
I can't wait for this movie, there's something so nostalgic and magical about Winnie the Pooh. I'm almost 20 and I am proud to say I love Winnie the Pooh! :) lol! I like this poster too, hopefully this movie does well because we need more hand-drawn animation!
Check out my blog: Principessa Gabriella
Satipo.... I meant Gnomeo and Juliet was one oft he last pictures Cook supported. He actually moved it out Walt Disney Animation to England when it became obvious that certain people wanted production of the project to be halted.
All the previews and posters I have seen from this movie have been excellent. This movie is going to be great. I'll be seeing "Winnie the Pooh" on opening day.
I LOVE that poster :)
So cool that is doesn't need any words to tell the message!
I think this film is all hype. They can not recreate the original Pooh films. I can think of at least four pooh films that were nothing. Buddy Baker is gone, Sterling Holloway is gone, Paul Winchell is gone.Ect. Ect.
I guess I don't like how they act thru the marketing that this is something better, this time we did it right. Please. I will believe it when I see it and that won't be until the bluray release. After all the horrid sequals Disney has put out in the last 10 years, I have become sour. Winnie the Pooh is a very "spent" franchise. I also think that song on the trailer is annoying and tells me that this is not really going to look feel or sound like the origional films.Who knows I could be wrong.
You suck Honour. This was a waste of time for all involved. They could have been working on the Snow Queen or Aida! Fool! You gelatinous tapeworm! You are simply a sheep who follows AND kisses Disney's ass.
Awww, thanks Anonymous. I like you too.
In case you didn't know, I don't control Walt Disney Animation Studios slate of films so you might want to e-mail them. I'm sure they're ears are just waiting to hear your sage advise on their line up.
I'm sure there are many that would disagree with you that I kiss Disney's butt.
When's the last time you criticized Disney or Lasseter you suck-up? Tell me and point me to it!
