Cold Story...

I know many were not thrilled with the teaser for WDAS's  "Frozen" when it came out...

But it was just a scene from the film.  Not a full teaser, or trailer.  It was meant to show you that a new animated film was coming from the Mouse.  And it was supposed to let you know that it was funny.  Well, not everyone liked it.  Don't worry, the next trailer, and yes, it is a trailer, will give you much more.

The first actual trailer for the film will be out before you know it, and it's a much better look at the story.  In fact it actually tells you what the story is.  It fleshes out the narrative and lets you get to get a better look at the world and who lives in it.  For those that wanted a real look at the film, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

This actual trailer won't leave so many in the cold...

Too bad it was a actual scene. I was hoping it was just a little short/ teaser about the characters that wasn't in the actual movie.

People complaining don't understand what a "teaser" is supposed to be. It teased the movie without really telling you anything.

Also I'm skeptical if that scene will even appear in the movie.

The teaser is just that-- it is not an actual scene from the movie.

I'm still hoping we get to hear Idina Menzel sing this time...she was in Enchanted and didn't sing a note!! What was up with that?

The day befre it appears you told us. You were right on the spot, Honor. Although it's in Japanese. When is the English version out?

The 'teaser' was super annoying, I hate that snowman!

I get that there is "magic" in Frozen, but I figure it would be the more magical/enchanted type, such as in Rapunzel, not a poorly animated snowman that blows his head off when he sneezes.

If the teaser came out after Toy Story, then people would "oooh" and "aaaw" because it is CGI . . . now its just kinda lame. Doesn't get me excited for the film as I was expecting a beautiful/naturalistic CGI frozen world . . . not this. I hope that trailer loses the snowman.

In what way was the snowman poorly animated?

Chris Buck is a terrific director. I have no doubt Frozen will be great.

I have to agree with those who were unimpressed with this teaser. I was anticipating gorgeous sweeping vistas with a more serious drama-style story kind of like the old-school princess movies like 'Sleeping Beauty'. Perhaps this teaser doesn't give a good feel for the actual movie and the trailer will make up for it, but as of right now, I'm underwhelmed.

I liked the little scene. It was cute and funny and although told nothing of the story, thought it was well animated.
I am sad to realize the story is taken off the Snow Queen. Why can't they do an original story?

In response to a question, the snowman is poorly animated because:

1. It doesn't match the moose, which is naturalistic with realistic looking hair.

2. It isn't clear that the snowman is made out of snow/ice . . . looks like generic CGI white stuff. I don't think this guy is cold/made of snow.

3. Laws of physics suspended way too much. He blows his head off. Saw the Japanese trailer and the snow monster isn't even realistic, his arms seem to float.

The snowmen aren't believable. Looks 'unfinished' like a straight to DVD film. I expected something on the level of artistry in Brave. Something about the film seems unsincere, lacking emotion.

In the end he is very annoying and I feel that I have to both love him (I don't) and believe he is a snowman (I don't). Films where you have to use your imagination this too like it are too much of a chore.

The snow monster's arms appear to float because his shoulder is a thin piece of ice between a large snow chest and snow arms. In the shots in the trailer the cuts are so quick that you can't really see the ice, you just notice there's a gap at his shoulders.
