Tron: Uprising 2.0...

This is starting to show a lot of potential...









I am really starting to like this series...

The animation is first rate, some of the best I've seen on television... ever. The story is good, the characters are compelling and there is a whole world we're seeing that the films only glossed over. "Tron Uprising" is a great reason to watch Disney XD along with all the Marvel shows, and it's a great example of how there's still life on the Grid.

If you haven't seen the first Episode: "Beck Begins" then you need to watch it. And for those that have seen it, here is the second episode: "Renegade Pt. 1" for your viewing pleasure. I wonder what else we'll see on Disney XD in the coming years?

I have a few ideas and have heard a few rumors, but that will be for another post in the future...

Relaunched In 7 Days, Reborn In 11 Years...

California Adventure actually is an adventure now...








In a week, those entering Disney California Adventure will get an amazing experience...

Let me just say that Buena Vista Street and Cars Land are so detailed, and so amazing that the rest of the park looks bland by comparison. Not to put down all the detail and improvements that have happened over the past five years, but it's truly another level of immersion when you walk down these lands compared to what was there before.

There will be modest improvements over the next few years, but any major adjustments will come later. None are officially approved yet. And they won't until the Suits inside the Team Disney Building have seen the figures, but I don't think they have anything to worry about. This new front entrance and new land are great and take you to a Disney park that fans have hungered for since walking into Sunshine Plaza over a decade ago.

I imagine the wonder in a young child's eyes on that Friday morning, next week...

Not game over, man...





The official website of "Wreck-It Ralph" is up...

Take a look at it. And while there put in a quarter (metaphorically, of course) and play the actual "Fix-It Felix" game that Ralph is a part of. It's a nice site packed with all kinds of 8-Bit Eighties goodness. I look forward to more and more content being added.

Disney animators seem to be in very high spirits right now and deservedly so...

New Bat-Time, New Bat-Channel...

Na, na, na, na, na, na, Batman...





I remember as a small boy, rushing home from school to watch reruns of the 60's "Batman" tv show...

I was obsessed with it. I even went to get Burt Ward's autograph at a local car dealership when he stopped by my town. I have autographs of various stars, but still haven't gotten one by Adam West yet. I remember always wanting to have a DVD copy of the series, but realized that there were rights issues between 20th Century Fox and Warner that weren't resolved. I have a copy of the series on disc from when it was on TV Land, but it's not the greatest quality. So I've waited. And waited. And waited...

Until today.

Variety announced that as of now, the rights issues have been resolved and a whole slew of merchandise, and presumably the series itself will become available over the next few years. So now I can look forward to a Blu-Ray copy of the series to have along with my Nolan trilogy. I think my autographed copy of Frank Gorshin as the Riddler just gave me the thumbs up.

The first trailer for "Wreck-It Ralph" is out. Take a look at it and see for yourself. And no, it's not the last one, and it's not all the cameos you'll see. But what you don't see is all the heart in the film. This in only a quarters worth.

Latino Review has a really interesting rumor on the mystery film that Marvel is planning for 2014...

Everyone pretty much expects the "Avengers" sequel to be one of the two films that Marvel has mentioned as its line up for 2015, but much speculation has surrounded the identity of the other film that will come out that year.

While it has been widely speculated that the mystery film would be the adaptation of "Ant-Man" by director Edgar Wright based on his twitter feed and the comments of Kevin Feige, it now may appear otherwise. The Black Panther may be be the untitled 2014 film if Latino Review's trusted sources turn out to be correct.

But what if there are three Marvel films to come out that year? It's not likely, but Feige has been open to the possibility of having three films out in one year. The current plans call for two a year, but if you look at that schedule there is a huge gap between the second one and the end of the year. A release date change could happen where they schedule the film later in the year, but until then it leaves room for another production if the dates don't move.

Could an Avengers sequel come out in 2014? Doubtful, but with several projects in the fire right now, might the studio take a plunge and give us a holiday release of, say "The Incredible Hulk 2" or "Doctor Strange" even? While the odds are against it, the gap between Marvel film in 2014 and 2015 is awfully long. Could one of the many films on its development slate wind up being a surprise gift at the end of that ?

Wakka, wakka, wakka...






The Mouse has released more pictures of Walt Disney Animation Studios' "Wreck-It Ralph" that comes out in November...

These images come via USA Today, so if you'd like uber-size images then head over there. That first one up top is of Ralph meeting at the central hub, known as Game Central Station, where his AA (Villain's Anonymous) meetings happen with several famous counterparts.



And here is the outside of their meeting place. You can get an idea from this as to how they all meet up in the arcade they occupy.



This one is when he meets up with Sarah Silverman's Vanellope von Schweetz, which is basically a fictional game version of Mario Karts.



And here is Jane Lynch's Sgt. Calhoun character that Ralph tries to get to whip him into shape so he can be a hero. As you would sumize, it doesn't go as Ralph expects. From the talks I've had with my Bothans, they're really positive on this film and those that have seen the Rich Moore film really like it. What do video games do when the lights go out at the arcade?
