Know Reservation Required...

It's open...

Hope you haven't tried to get a room at the new Tokyo Disneyland Hotel for the next few weeks, months even.

Nine stories tall, 705 rooms, mostly suites designed around families, elegant dining all in the largest "Disney-branded" hotel in the Tokyo Disney Resort.

It's going to be booked pretty solid. When Imagineers design something of this caliber people are going to flock to it. Hear that TeamDisney Burank? Perhaps you should let the folks at WDI create something amazing? Like a few of those lovely concepts they've got ready to use if you would only let them...

Hmmm? Sounds like a great idea to me. What do you say, Mr. Rasulo? Sir? Sir, could you please quit humming that annoying tune and take your finger out of your butt?

Sigh... never mind.

Didnt you say there were discussions about building some sort of new Disneyland Hotel in the same Victorian style as the others in the area where the busses/tram stops in the esplanade? I dont think this is a very realistic plan though.. it just does not seem possible and that area is congested as it is...

All I hope is that they tear down the current Disneyland Hotel... and do something to the Paradise Pier hotel too while they're at it. The opening of the Tokyo hotel is just bringing more attention to our old and outdated Anaheim version, and the fact that it seriously needs to be torn down and replaced... regardless of what Disneyland purists that want it to stay say

There are plans for a Victorian style hotel to go there. Not that it would be named the "Disneyland Hotel"...

And it's one of many plans. It's blue sky so as far as I know it hasn't been approved yet, like a couple other plans as well.

The area wouldn't be congested anymore because it wouldn't be the shuttle/taxi hub if the hotel was put there. And don't let it fool you, that land is a nice size that could hold a hotel almost as big as the GC.

Honor,

do you know if the plans for the DLH are happening are not? Have they been approved, but just pushed back in terms of when TDA wants to start it...or have they yet to approve anything?
For a while there, it seemed like it was happening, they just couldn't decide on a time table, and whether to strip down and remodel, or totally demolish.

anything?

As for Jay Rasulo, you'd think his type would want nothing more than to build more luxury hotel rooms, like out in WDW....
what are they waiting for?
hmmmmm?
