The Princess And The Frog Website Goes LIVE!!!

Holy crap! I didn't even notice that WDAS has opened the official site...

Take a look at GLORIOUS HAND DRAWN ANIMATION! I'm sooooooo in love. This film I'm looking forward to even more than "Bolt".

Give it a looksie...

Loving your enthusiasm! Loving the return of animation! Praying this will be the "instant classic" Disney fairytale we've all longed for...

Not going to surprise anyone, but the teaser isn't doing anything for me. It was a little too silly and the lightning bug didn't sit right with me. I also think this movie might offend nearly everyone in the PC crowd (and I'm anything but PC -- I just worry for its financial sake, since all future hand-drawn features are depending on this film).

However, the potential is there in the art direction, but it does look a little slapped together, almost as if it's channeling 70's Disney (The Rescuers, etc.), just because it doesn't feel quite finished, which makes sense since it's far from completion.

That said, I still have high hopes for the movie (certainly higher than Bolt), since this is just a teaser. I just hope that it doesn't suffer from the ridiculous terrible comic relief from the past 12 years (gargoyles, Phil, Mushu, Terk, B.E.N., etc.). These characters were all far too much "of the time" that they were produced to hold up against the test of time. Nothing in the trailer seemed to indicate such a thing, but it felt very "Bugs Bunny," which in itself wouldn't be bad, except that I couldn't deal with that kind of humor mixing with genuine emotion -- certainly not for an hour and a half or more.

This movie will probably live up to no one's high expectations, though. And I'm super worried about that... :(

I like it. I'm looking forward to it. The lightning bug didn't completely work for me either, but it's just a teaser. I'm particularly looking forward to hearing more of the music.

I think you are right, Corruption, the expectations are going to be impossible on this film. See the comments about Indy IV for a taste of that.

I'm looking forward to this more because of the music than the hand drawn animation. The animation itself looks pretty good and I'm excited to see Disney going back to that style, but I haven't seen a good animated film with good music in quite some time.

This little teaser looks terrific, I'm sure it will be a great film.

I LOVE IT SOOOOOO MUCH. YAY DISNEY IS BACK!!!!!!!! All what i've been missing all these years is all in this teaser. I love how well the princess is moving. The colors, the music, the voices, and the characters. I'm hoping it's gonna be the huge succes for totally bringing back 2d-animation to disney forever.

I agree with corruption. It doesn't look good at all.

clearly the teaser does not use footage and is not an actual scene from the film. they are taking a page from the lilo & stitch/pixar film teaser ads and are creating a stand alone vignette to generate interest.

YAY! The lightning bug was my favorite part.

I am excited. I am a big Randy Newman fan, and love New Orleans. I also think that having a black pricess for the first time is a good thing. I am not sure that this will be next "Little Mermaid" ushering in the third Golden Age of Animation, but it looks light years ahead of "Home on the Range" and "Brother Bear."
