TR2N...

Ok guys, sorry but I've been running around alot today...

Greetings from Nerdvana 2008. I knew something was up. I've heard rumors, but I didn't know exactly what was to be sprung on us...

Now I do. Now you do.

They showed the audience a three minute clip from a film test for "TRON 2.0" and it got the geeks howling... it was truly a great thing. We don't know if the film has been greenlit yet. We'll have to wait for the trailer before we actually get to see the film.

Reboot? Or Re-imagined?

I'm excited about Tron. Even they go in a direction I'm worried about--too many references to the Internet, ".com", Facebook and MySpace and so on--I'm excited and I will see it. I'm a big fan of the original Tron.

They touch on this same thing over at Ain't it Cool News.

I admit. I'm stoked. I can't wait to see something. Trailer. Test footage. Anything.

Anybody have anything? A link? Somewhere?

Greetings programs!

First saw TRON in the theater in 1982 - the summer before 6th grade. It completely blew me away with its groundbreaking visuals (for the time) and cool subject matter. TRON remains my absolute favorite film of all time to this day.

I'm both excited and worried about the sequel. I'd love a sequel, but it has to be done right. Jeff Bridges is on board, so that's a big step in the right direction. I hate spoilers, but accidentally read bits of some while poking around articles about this news. So far, what I've read seems very interesting.

I'm getting chills just thinking about how cool this might be... I'm such a TRON-nerd and DAMN PROUD of it! :-)

I am also a Tron nerd. I'm a little concerned, but I'm going to see it, pretty much no matter what. I can't wait for the first trailer. I'd love to see this proof of concept footage. I'm hoping they'll post it to the web sometime soon, but I'm not holding my breath. I notice tr2n.com is a placeholder site for the movie (it says), but it doesn't look very official. Once there's more material out in the public domain, I'll feel more certain that it's all really definitely going to happen without a doubt.

My biggest concern is that I'm getting all excited over something that's going to end up collapsing before principal photography starts.

Another TRON fan here. When I heard about the clip that was posted online, I felt the need to write about it myself. Just a bit.

(ATM it's the first story up there, but if not anymore when you read this, just search at top-right for tron)
