OpTRONs...

Can't tell a play without a program...

So today is a day all you programs have waited for...

There is still no green light for the sequel, but plans are cautiously moving forward. If you know anything about Hollywood then you'll understand that this is not a ringing signal that the project is a go. But if you want to help tip the scales then today is the day to do that.

While the film will finish with over $400 million dollars at the box office, it doesn't mean we'll see TR3N anytime soon. But Suits are going to be watching the sales figures from the release of DVD's/Blu-Ray's and the various film incarnations that are available as of today.

From what I'm hearing, a definite go for the threequel will only come if financial figures from the film's home release are high enough to justify the cost of a third film. So if you want it to happen it's partially within your power. Buy one, buy two and give it to a friend.

Press play and watch what will happen...

Deposit another quarter please...

Man, that top pic box set looks amazing!!! Where can I find it?

@HypaTRONic Based on the giant "fnac" logo, my guess would be: France.

Search Amazon.fr for TRON L'héritage (Edition Limitée)

I ordered my tron dvds online but I stopped by my local Best Buy yesterday. Not one blu-ray disc in the store? I didn't look for the dvds but I didn't see any either.

Did they under order? I have never been to a store on the day a movie comes out and not one disc left. If this is any indication, I think Disney might have enough to pull the trigger on the next one.

Honor Deadline.com is reporting a sequel to legacy is pretty much a done deal

Until a script is done, budgets are scheduled, sales figures for DVD/Blu- Ray are in then it hasn't been green lit yet.

None of those things have happened yet...

I love the art for the digital copy package (with "comic-con trailer" images) and the "just a bluray" package (with cast & light buggy). Do these exist or are they BlueSky exclusives?

I don't want it to happen so I won't buy it. Your argument is so simplistic that I'm flummoxed. They wouldn't even be floating the subject of a sequel if the original box office was a dud. A sequel was well into consideration. Another fool parts with his money. I think it's a fools errand. To pine for a movie that you don't even own is ridiculous. Don't tell me you sleep with the DVD in your bed.

I honestly said those exact words to my roommate yesterday, after picking up my 'lightdisc' copy...

You can note the high amount of ads supporting T:L currently; I hardly saw any last week for Tangled and its release (could possibly be the channels I watch, but oh well). But then again, there isn't a push for a Tangled sequel.

The suits really are looking to push this; it's like a result they want to happen but are just waiting for the right response. I want a TR3N, and I did my part, sans buying more. (Plus, there's a lot of deals, including a Disney Movie Rewards Coupon for $5 off!)

If only I could get my hands on that french one...
