Gone, yeah gone...
See ya...
Today is your last chance to ride a mistake...
The Maliboomer shoots guest up in the air for the last time today. If you want to experience anything like this you're out of luck. Oh, wait. No you're not. You can find this kind of attraction at a dozen other theme parks within driving distance. Some of them even better themed.
When I ride a Disney attraction I expect it to be themed, detailed and have some form of a back story. This attraction has none of these qualities. It's soulless like the man in charge of most of the bad and retched creations that he approved for this park and others. If he ever gets another job (having been fired twice since leaving the Mouse) I'd be surprised. A decade in charge, and decades to rebuild the image/reputation he helped tear down and sully. Either way, another bad mistake is wiped away. That's a good thing.
Maliboomer is dead, long live the Maliboomer...

Goodbye! The Maliboomer will NOT be missed!
Yeeha! Today we celebrate, it's a good day in Disney history :)
So long Boomer!!!
While they're at it, there seems to be some annoying centrifuge ride over in "Epcot" called "Mission: Space." Perhaps Disney could swing by Florida and take that away as well.
If they're going to be in the area, there's also the matter of that strange "wanna-be" roller coaster right next to it...
I'd like to know what idiot authorized selling Marvel products over at Epcot. Yes, I know that the BIG idiot, Iger, bought the damn company, but who thought it would be wonderful for a guest at Disney World to come across a Spiderman T-shirt? THAT AIN'T RIGHT.

That´´s right - the maliboomer pales in comparison to *that* mistake - quite possibly the most horrible decision Disney execs have made in the past 50 years. Seeing the insipid Marvel characters at a Disney park - the horror, the horror....
Knott's has a superior version of this ride and it's just a hop, skip and a jump down the 5 freeway. Why Disney ever built the Maliboomer is beyond me (and apparently a lot of other people).
I wonder if PP should be credited for at least allowing the park to be built. Otherwise, it is still a parking lot. Better for something than nothing.
Get rid of Mission Space? That's my favorite ride in Epcot, and a superb ride at that. Lots of fun, too.
To Anonymous #1... IGER IS NOT AN IDIOT! Anyone who says that is an idiot themselves!
And, no, the company did NOT make a mistake by buying Marvel!
Don't go off-topic, please!
I liked the Maliboomer. We don't live in So.Cal and our version is Tower of Doom that drops you harder and faster than Tower. Well I am glad we all got to ride it one last time this summer. But....do they have to replace it with nothing??? Whoo hoo look here is this fun patch of grass!
I agree, Iger is NOT an idiot!
Eisner was the idiot.
Really it is not a bad thing that Disney bought Marvel.
The general public doesn't have a problem with Marvel products in Disney park stores. Its not a bad thing.
I hated the Maliboomer as well, and its beyond me why some people are so upset that its gone. Like Honor pointed out, the ride was bare bones and not exactly unique.
Martyrs! Maliboomer was twice the ride Supreme Scream will ever be. NOT EVERY RIDE NEEDS A BLOODY THEME! LAY OFF! IF YOU'RE GOING TO BE SUCH A CRITICT, WHY GO TO A FUN PLACE AND RUIN EVERYONE'S FUN!THEME PARKS AREN'T MADE TO BE CRITIQUED BY A BUNCH OFF JACKASSES! DCA'S LOYAL FANS WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE MALIBOOMER, AND MISS IT!
IT WILL BE MISSED BY DCA'S REAL FANS!
Go to Knotts anonymous, you'll get your fill of crappy off the shelf, no themed rides there.
And as for rides needing themes? Yes, Disney rides do. You obviously haven't spent much time in Disney parks. That's what sets them apart from the dreck of the world.
I'm sure Paul Pressler would have loved to have had more fans like you during his run, or ruin, of the parks.
Ive spent enough time in the Disney parks to actually enjoy them!
