A Beautiful Night...

Those of you lucky enough to be in the Los Angeles area on July 18th are in for a treat...

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is having one of their Gold Standard Screening Series. That Friday at 7:30 pm in the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills a digitally restored print of Walt Disney's "Sleeping Beauty" will be shown. The event will be hosted by Leonard Maltin and after the showing there will be a discussion with animator Andreas Deja, preservationist Theo Gluck, Disney sound department chief Terry Porter and Dave Bossert, creative director of special projects. The event is open to the public and tickets are only five dollars...

I'll be there... Will you?

DO NOT like the new site logo. It is not streamlined enough to represent your style. Much too busy with the different colors and fonts.

"not streamlined enough to represent your style"

I Agree. One of the things that makes this blog so nice is the subtle understated artwork.

Uhm... too many colors?

Blue and silver? Oh, the word magic is red. I think it looks cool and don't find it busy. It's just a blue "Blue Sky" and silver "Disney". I think it's refined and understated. Honor could have made it with a lot of characters and things all thrown in.

Yes.. I could care less how the logo looks just make it smaller b/c its not easy to see in a mobile web browser

And in response to the post -- If I were in LA I would NOT be going to a screening of Sleeping Beauty, haha
