An Anniversary & A Seachange...

Today the Sesame Workshop starts the 40th season of "Sesame Street" on PBS...

The Animation Magazine has an interesting article about how one of the projects that will celebrate it is a new segment on the show entitled "Abby's Flying Fairy School," and that is a bit of a departure for the show. The Muppets on this show are CG.

The times they are a changing...

These muppet people do CG with puppets that have golfballs on them, and so on. It's actually sort of innovative.

CG continues to show itself in everything...

For better, or worse...

Muppets? Again? Really?

No more, please. We don't want to hear about Jim Henson's relic to puppetry.

I say keep the muppets coming. The 40th season of Sesame Street is a worthy posting.

Magic Drumm is right. No more freaking muppets already. They're not Disney (Eisner bought them, not Walt) and they are a relic of yesteryear that haven't stood the test of time. My kids won't even watch them.

Brandon, there's nothing unAmerican about being unimpressed with hand puppets. This is the 21st century. Get with it.

I say let's talk about Disney. I couldn't care less about Muppets.

Magic King Dumm and Anonymouses 1 and 3 are dead wrong!

They should be condemned for their freakish hatred towards the Muppets.

Anonymous above is in his second childhood. Assuming he ever left his first.

You should be condemned for your freakish adoration of sock puppets.

Excuse me?! If there's anyone acting childish around here, it's Magic King Dumm and Anonymouses 1, 3 and 4!

Muppets are puppets for retarded children. I'm glad I never got sucked into it when I was a kid.

Which news show was interviewing a Muppet? You're talking to a dude with his fist up a fake frog's butt. How irrelevant can TV news get?
