Honor, this new 2011 schedule for the Cars 2 is really interesting, as it brings a new question: Is the opening date of Cars land at DCA going to change, too? It was supposed to open in 2012 , partly because of the 2012 release of the movie.

Now that the Cars 2 release is for 2011, i think you should ask your "Bothans" if we can expect a Cars Land opening in summer 2011, too.

A 2011 Cars Land opening would mean that WDI imagineers will have "only" three years to build it - instead of four previously, which seems to be enough, even if it will be a big "land" to build, specially with the Radiator Springs Racer attraction.

Let us know when you'll have the answer!

I'm not privy to anything but I think they would stay with their original schedule. If you have the movie out in Summer 2011, video x-mas 2011, then theme park spring 2012. That would work pretty well, me thinks.

Putting another year between us and a Cars sequel sounds good to me.
Make it good, take your time, we're not in any hurry to see it anyway.
