How Will The Future Look?

Don't know what to think of this one...

Walt Disney Pictures and Mayhem Pictures have hired scribes Jon Lucas and Scott Moore("The Ghost of Girlfriends Past") to develop a futuristic adventure for Dwayne Johnson to star in...

Variety is saying the project is "Tomorrowland" themed but the Mouse is denying this, saying that it is an original project.

This is the third Disney project the man formerly know as "The Rock" has been attached to, it appears he's getting along well with Dick Cook and Oren Aviv enough that they see a continued future together.

The question is, is this future in Tomorrowland?

Why not? We've had films based upon attractions (PoTC, Haunted Mansion) and we've had attractions based on films (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Snow White, Peter Pan, et al). I think there's great potential in featuring some Tomorrowland attractions in a film

Tomorrowland isn't the worst idea. If its a sci-fi set in a variation of the future that resembles "the tomorrow that never was" or something along those lines that's fine. Needs a good plot to be set on top of that. But I wouldn't be against them using that name for a film with those similarities.

Just hope they aim for Curse of the Black Pearl, and not The Haunted Mansion or At World's End.

I like Dwayne Johnson, he's good enough at what he does, so Tomorrowland or not, I am interested.

i think it sounds kinda cool. Next attraction to get a movie should be expedition everest. The film could be so cool with mountain climbers searching for the lost yeti in the himalyas. But ive heard the next film is going to be jungle cruise.

"Space Mountain: The Movie" . . . I'd be all for it. Tomorrowland was always my favorite part of Disney World. Still is. Loved it as a kid, love it now. A movie with a plot and good direction that incorporated elements of the Tomorrowland narrative would be mega-cool.

The movie based on an attraction based on a movie that I was hoping to see: Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye.

I'd rather have another Pirate movie...but one done RIGHT.

And how about a film based on the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror? That could be cool. Especially if Rod Serling footage could be worked into the film like it is in the ride.
