We love the Disney Villains, don't we?
Walt Disney and the company he founded have created some of the greatest villains you've ever seen on the silver screen. It's with that statement that I give you "The Blue Sky Disney List of the Ten Greatest Disney Villains".
I'm sure you'll all agree. Ahem...
Number Ten: Chernabog
Number Nine: Professor Ratigan
Number Eight: Scar
Number Seven: Jafar
Number Six: Ursula
Number Five: Captain Hook
Number Four: The Queen
Number Three: Cruella de Vil
Number Two: Shere Khan
Number One: Maleficent
I'm sure there's no disagreement here in the Blue Sky Bloggosphere, is there? Hehe...

I really enjoy these kinds of lists and Honor's is pretty good. I would, however, put Chernabog at number two, replace Jafar with McLeach, and put Hades in for the Queen. I also like the fire in Bambi.
Maleficent rules... but I would have put Ursula up higher.
Moved up Jafar, Scar, and one other... can't remember.
But all in all good list.
You should give a little blurb for each character about why you liked them and why they deserve their spot on the list.
Not sure where I would place him in the ranking, but I found Gaston to be a pretty threatening villian, perhaps because his situation, (good looking guy pursuing a girl against her will, no magic powers involved) was so common and plausible. His charisma and ability to rabble the villagers against the beast is a wholly believable scenario and very well developed. I think I'd cross Scar off the list because I felt he was just a rehash of Jafar, though more overacted.
I miss the Queen of Hearts. And yeah, some describtion on each would even better.
Hunchback's Judge Claude Frollo . . .although I couldn't argue too much from your list, is one of the more evil, creepy, and awful Disney villains. *shudders*

And I definitely think FROLLO should be in there somewhere. Any input on the new Disney Villans Monopoly?
Frollo should for sure be in there. He is the only Disney villan whose evil is sexually based which makes double creepy in my book. Also Madam Mimm from Sword in the Stone, and maybe the Siamese Cats from Lady and the Tramp.

I know Chernabog looks evil and all that - but he (it?) never really was an evil doer in a Disney sense. He never went after a hero or things not his own, etc.
Hades is my favorite only because his schmoozing ways are so much like modern villains of our time (CEOs, Bank Directors, Hollywood Execs, etc.)
My fav is Ursula- just love a villian with a sense of humor!

Hades, where is Hades. And i simply love chernabog, hes so intricate and amazingly designed!

Scar definitely move up:-) He was one of the only villains to actually murder on screen!
