Happy Veteran's Day...

To all those that put on the uniform...

Thank you for your service. You deserve our nation's respect and admiration, for you are the true heroes of America.

May God keep you safe, so that you may keep us free.

Oh please. We only needed a military as an excuse for Bu$h to fund his cronies obsession with Imperial domination of the world.

Thankfully that era ends on January 20th, 2009. Then we can dismantle this oppressive force and start dealing with the world in an honest way discussing our butchering of peoples, resources and native cultures.

Get over it you right-wing hack. This goes for your Lemmings as well. You lost. We won. Just admit it and give in to what is coming.

Che, there are thousands of political blogs and message boards out there. May I suggest you go post on them. You'll find much more solace there than here.

We're talking about entertainment here. It's one thing that many of us, despite our differences politically, have in common.

I give a great latitude to people who don't agree with me and those that think they don't agree with me. The only reason I've left your comments up on most of these post is as an example of how far out some can go...

If you want to discuss something we talk about, fine. But please try and be respectful or else I may make a decision to no longer allow you to comment.

Perhaps you should start your own blog?

Kind of funny as Obama says he'll send more troops to Afghanistan today? But when he sends troops it's not for world domination?

Imperial domination of the world? A bit of a stretch? I guess Australia, Britain, Germany and Spain are all out to dominate the world too since they have troops in Iraq?

"Che wha?" is your tag in reference to Che Gueavara?

che loon...at least your consistent with your moonbat rants on every public holiday.

Just between you and me (because you seem not to understand this)...our new President and Congress will not change much regarding the military, and in fact Mr. Obama said he wants to increase the size of the Army and the Marine Corps. You must be so disappointed...

Can't you just enjoy the great Disney news on this blog? Again, as Buzz Lightyear says, you are a sad, strange little man (if in fact you are a man).

Great blog as always, Honor.

Well said, honor!

Che, take note: Politics aside, a lot of good men and women fought and died to uphold the freedoms that you take for granted today.

Chances are strong that someone close to you (maybe your father or grandfather) has served in some branch of the military. Aren't they deserving of your respect?

Che wha? do you understand that there was history (world AND United States) before January 20, 2001 when Bush became president? I'm thinking not since you never mention anything prior to that date. There's a lot of history that happened before 2001; you should read up on it.

Good point Capt, but small minds have short memories.

how is it that a small post about America is automatically about the "right wing agenda" I mean there was nothing there that would indicate such a thing. Che wha, you make the democratic party look bad.

Kudos to our armes service, who are populated with some of the best and brightest--and certainly the bravest--that the greatest country in the world has to offer. God bless America, and God bless the Men and Women who serve in the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. And let's not forget the Coasties.

That being said, we will always have a military. Donald Rumsfeld (under Bush) did as much to dismantle (reduce the size of) the military as Clinton, if not more, and Clinton was continuing on a "peace dividend" strategy that started under George H.W. Obama may well do less of that, not more. So if you think any responsible American president is actually going to unilaterally disarm, I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed. Don't forget, whenever Democrats become Command-and-Chief, the military becomes a good thing. So don't expect that Obama is going to dismantle our forces.
