Your Prince Has Come...

Walt Disney Pictures has released the trailer for "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" today...

Sorry, been under the weather and not feeling that grand or I would have posted this earlier today. The Mouse's first peek at Persia is quite impressive. Now, if the film turns out to be as good is the big question. The script which I read/reviewed a long time ago was quite good, but not the greatest thing I've read, has been rewritten. I recognize several scene, don't remember others and find whole passages of dialog completely different that what I was privy to.

Hopefully it's worth the price of a ticket and its rather large budget...

Here's hoping for Disney's next Pirates franchise. The action sequences and art direction look promising, not sure if it will be as endearing as the first Pirates however.

Too much CGI. Is this supposed to be live action or a cartoon?

Looks live-action to me. Just because something is too fantastic to exist we want to relegate to calling it cartoon or unbelievable? It's photo-real stuff, but since we know it can't happen we call everything fake. I think it looks pretty cool. A huge spectacle, but a fun, huge spectacle.

Better than I expected. That's not saying much. I expected it to be awful. Hoping for a shock when it eventually come out.

Looks terrible. People should know that movies based off of video games never work. Jake looks about as Persian as Jackie Chan looks Caucasian.

I was moderately interested in seeing how this movie would turn out, this trailer presents some of the worst acting and CGI I’ve seen in a long time. How many sand storms, human frog jumping, swirling sparkles, and crumbling buildings does it take to make a good summer movie? This first glimps at the movie presents little more than the preverbal sensory overloaded movie offering little more than way to much poor quality CGI, loud noised, and little, if any, real story or character development. If this was meant to generate excitement, it failed.

Got that right. Also, just a fyi, don't watch V. Ask ourself why they would remake a TV series that did so horribly in the 80's? Plus they mentioned they were inspired by Roland Emmerich, yeah cause he's like the best director to be inspired by; one of the worst directors of all time with characters we could care less about, filming characters who have no purpose whatsoever. Don't watch it.

Actually the miniseries did quite well in the 80's. That's why they made a sequel to it. That did well enough that they decided on a series for it. But the ratings went south and people finally had their fill of lizards. Until now.
