Bolt Behind Scenes...

The guys over at Coming Soon and Latino Review have posted a couple nice behind the scenes article/acticles that you might enjoy...

If you'll notice both author's enthusiasm, it's clear to them as also, quite a few I've talked to that "Bolt" shows the shift over at WDAS and why they feel we're in for a rebirth from those in power at the Hat Building.

*UPDATE*

More reports have come out from the various fansites visit to Burbank...

Check out what the Animation World Network has to say in its article and IGN just posted their own piece on the visit.

Happy reading...

Yay! Good news. I hope 'Bolt' really knocks it out of the park. That will bode well for future Disney animation efforts, like Princess and the Frog, the teaser for which left me entirely underwhelmed.

Indeed, good news. The comments in response to the article by the general viewer has an overall positive tone. Some saying that this has a Pixar feel to it. I am excited to see this creation unfold and to see what JL's influence can have on the Mouse and more specifically the Hat Building.

Great article, Honor. Thanks for posting!

This movie is going to bomb so hard. The name is terrible, and I'm pretty sure the story was already done in "101 Dalmations 2: Patch's London Adventure".

You've seen the sketches and what ended up happening. As much as I think the big eyes/big head combo is cute, that's not going to be sell this hackneyed story to the public. Let's hope that chubby hamster thing can fool more people into thinking its going to be funny.

That's an intelligent argument... "The movie is going to bomb because the name is bad." Does that mean "Up" is going to bomb? I don't think "Up" is any more catchy than "Bolt" or "Cars".

And if you've read any of the articles you will notice that the story is nothing like Patch's London Adventure. Here's an excerpt from Comingsoon.net:

"When an accident has Bolt shipped from Hollywood to New York City, he sets off across America to be reunited with Penny. Convinced that his odyssey is the fault of on-screen villain Doctor Calico (Malcolm McDowell), Bolt captures a streetwise alley cat named Mittens (Susie Essman) whom he mistakes for one of the Doctor's minions. Herself convinced that Bolt is insane, Mittens still has no choice but to join the young pup in his quest. The triad of traveling house pets is soon complete when the pair is joined by Rhino (Mark Walton), a hamster who, having spent his entire life in a plastic ball in front of a television set, is as convinced as Bolt that the dog is every bit a superhero."

Well obviously Dogs in one movie are the same as dogs in another..

I am looking forward to this. I have said before that I think this is going to be the first Disney Animated film I will see at cinemas in 10 years. Nothing has been attractive enough since then. But Bolt looks good, and I am hoping it is going to be good enough to justify my confidence in the guys.

Oh, good grief. There are reasons to be cautious about getting too excited about Bolt, but let's be real, here. It's ain't going to be a cheapquel.

I Agree with Anonymous,Im Not going to see it ether. Bolt is just another Dog movie in the light an like of another Dog movie an another an ect.

It is just Im Doged out on Dog movies, an second I dont go run out An go watch A Disney Movie just because it is Disney Movie; everytime they put one out (no offence meant to anyone there,im speaking for myself.)

Right now buying Food,Drink and Medication for my Family and Parents means more to me than wasting Money on Another Disney/Pixar or Dreamworks/Fox or what have you Movie Ticket. But again that is just how I feel about it.
