There's a really interesting review/article about "Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea" over at Time online. The film will be distributed by Disney next year and appears to be another example of the influence that animation master, Hayao Miyazaki had over John Lasseter.
Give it a glance, perhaps even a looksie...

Some days I think you sit around at your house drunk and start typing. Today is one of those days -- looksie/glance?
However, I am excited about the next TWO Miyazaki films -- Ponyo and Earthsea (when that can finally be released here...).

And yes, it was just that glance and looksie are pretty similar. That was my only beef there!
Well, a glance and a looksie can be viewed as two different observations of something. One would last longer than the other...
At least that's what I've read in the Blue Sky Disney thesaurus and business operations manual.

Can't wait for Ponyo. Earthsea was so-so, I liked the look and the feel, but it was difficult to get into, and feels incomplete. I felt it was an odd choice as a movie.
I DID enjoy it, but not as much as I thought I would. And I'd like to see it again to see how I look on it a second time.
It's funny you say the next 2 miyazaki films it looks like they are both by the same guy - lol. That's the main reason I can look forward to the next film, because the father is the master.

I've seen the film at Venice Film Festival and it was GREAT.One of the Miyazaki masterpieces, it true deserved the Golden Lion.
Hope that Disney support it with a good marketing.

The point is that Spirited Away is a trippy movie and better than anything Disney has put out since Beauty and the Beast.
