The CG Society has a fantastic article on Pixar's Peter Sohn(story artist, animator and now short director). It tells how Peter grew up, describing how he got where he is at the Lamp and how he came up with his new short. Truly a great article. If you love animation and want to see how someone takes a path in that direction, please read it.

Sohn is a rising star, trust me...

Hat Tip to The Disney Blog.

I love Disney, I love animation and i love PIXAR. I heard from The PIXAR Story that working over there is like being on a college campus and Peter says you get to sit down to lunch with John Lasseter, Pete Doctor, Brad Bird and Andrew Stanton and the others and talk about all the stuff you love? That must be the greatest thing in the world, I do that with people now and my little brother and it's truly a treasure. Peter's work on all the PIXAR films is truly magical and I can't wait to see Party Cloudy and Up, which looks more and more fantastic every time I see something for it. Peter as Emille, one of my most favorite characters in Ratatouile. He's also worked on my most favorite animated films of all time. I always dreamed of being a voice actor for Disney or some other animated works in progress. This kind of article gives us hope for those who dream of having a job at Disney. "All this reading and cooking and TV watching while we read and cook, it's like your involving me in crime and I let you, WHY do I let you?" Great work he's done and they will contine to make timeless magic forever.
