Assassinating Competition...

A teaser poster is out for the Wachowski Brothers' next film...

At least next produced film. "Ninja Assassin" is supposed to be a throwback to those seventies Kung Fu action films set in the contemporary world, I believe...

The poster plays up the Korean pop-star Rain. I'll be interested in seeing the trailer when it's released.

Developing...

Hat Tip to Dark Horizons.

I like ninja movies. I like assassin movies. For me, this is win/win.

Another stupid slasher--literally--movie about completely unrealistic violence in the name of some faux philosophy about 'honor.' Please. Why do we continue to glorify this garbage?

I can't believe Honor is excited about this Wachowski ninja-fu garbage and he disses on Wolverine. Hey Honor, stick with Disney.

Honor, if there's one thing I learned for sure, it's that the Wachowski's don't know what they're doing anymore. They haven't done a single good movie since The Matrix, 1999. Kung fu movies nowadays are the lame Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon stuff of people running across water, jumping 50 ft in the air, what happened to the good old kung fu movies of Bruce Lee? The stuff we have now are the some of the worst movies ever made. This will be as forgettable as their last movie, Speed Racer. Can we have one movie that's original and not have singers or rappers acting in it?

Kung Fu movies have had people running across water and jumping 50 feet in the air since Bruce Lee's era. Bruce Lee just did one kind of Kung Fu style of movie, not the only kind. The Crouching Tiger type movies are more reflective of the majority of those types of films from that era. Not everything is going to make you feel the way you did the first time you saw the Matrix. Doesn't mean it isn't good.

I liked Speed Racer. One of my favorite films. Sue me.
