What's All The "Hulu"bub, Bub?


The Mouse is taking an equity stake in the internet site started by NBC Universal, News Corp. and Providence Equity Partners...

Hulu will have access to the titles from The Walt Disney Studios library of films and full-length episodes of television shows produced by the company.

I wonder how this will affect their relationship with Apple and Disney's biggest shareholder?

Several member of the Mouse, including CEO Bog Iger will join the Hulu board.

I don't get all the hype over Hulu. 90% of the shows can be found on the network's website (ie, nbc.com)

A lot of the current shows can be found on their websites. But the older ones aren't there. Also, Hulu usually holds current shows episodes up longer than the show sites so if you need to "catch up" you can. Also, it's simplistic design actually runs on most computers where as saaaaay ABCs website is so full of flash crap that my computer can't even run episodes off it anymore. ALSO! there are programs out there like PlayOn that allow you to stream hulu directly onto your TV using you PS3 xbox 360 and supposedly wii soon. Another big plus...

There's plenty more reasons. But I'm bored of typing.
