Art Of The Animal...

If you haven't seen Alain's article over at Disney and More featuring concept artwork from Disney's Animal Kingdom then you should go over and take a look...

All of it's beautiful, some of it's amazing. Now if Disney would just build "Beastly Kingdom" this park would be a wonderful full-day park. Oh, and please retheme "Dinoland U.S.A." while your at it so it doesn't look like a garish Carney. Other than that, it's a wonderful park and viewing Alain's post shows the reality and concept of what a great Disney park can, should and will be...

Honor, will they ever build the rumoredAutrailia and Beastly Kingdom? I agree, Dinoland must be overhauled.

I have to disagree about fixing Dinoland, but agree that it might be misunderstood now. Next to it used to be a serious dino exhibit. The serious, and the ridiculous, real science vs commercialism. That theme idea probably is lost now that the other dino exhibit is gone. The only parts left are The Dino Institute, that looks down on Chester and Hester's commercialism, and the student dorms, that is Restaurantasorus.

Diloland clashes with the rest of the park which is so lovely. It needs to be rethemed so it blends in more. More beautiful theming for kids doesn't mean it has to look cheap, which it does. I agree with Honor.

AW GODDAMMITTT!!!!! These pics make me so mad! I was really looking forward to Beastly Kingdom when I read about it...then that damned pennypinching bean-counting classic-killing Muppet-buying EISNER nixed it. All that was left of AK was a freaking ZOO! Big deal! And now these pics make it all too clear what we missed out on. Man that steams me. I have been to WDW 4 times, and you know what? After seeing those pictures, I'll be damned if I go again UNLESS and UNTIL Beastly Kingdom is built. It's bad enough Disney dumped Narnia...and now this...I hope Universal's Harry Potter attraction kicks the Magic Kingdom in the balls...and I don't even like the Potter phenom that much...in order to wake 'em up over there. Disney Parks should be about MAGIC first and foremost...not preachy exhibits about the environment and all that crap. Curse you, Eisner! May Mickey clock you right in the cheese!
