Another Evolving, Animating Visit...

Quint over at Ain't It Cool News has posted about another visit he had over at the Walt Disney Animation Studios watching the animating process on Lasseter's first official "Disney" film evolve...

Take a look for yourself...

The more I read about Bolt, the better I feel about it. Seems to me to by light years ahead of Chicken Little, everytime I hear something more. At first, the synopsis--and the names Mylie Cyrus and John Travolta (as Bolt!) left me cold. But I'm being won over.

I'm dubious that it will be quite as good as traditional Pixar fare. Or even Kung Fu Panda (which was outstanding, and I can't wait to see it again sometime). But . . . I'm feeling hopeful. I get a sense that the Lasseter magic is at work on this one.

Yay, John Lasseter. With the help of Brad Bird (and Steve Jobs, and a few other folks at Pixar), they have formed a team of superheroes that have single-handedly save animation as an art form. Or all we'd be getting in the future is Shrek 7: Shrek Harder.

Certainly sounds to be going well at the moment. Personally I can't wait to judge it myself. I will try to get to the cinema to see this one. (haven't seen a Disney Animated film at the cinema since The Emperor's New Groove, i think. So it's about time anyway.)

btw. Thanks for posting the link. It was only the other day I remembered about this and went looking to see if there was an update.
