Good lord the 3rd movie was horrible. Hopefully the actors will actually seem like they care and the plot won't be so convoluted for the fourth one.

Raimi might be playing it coy about Morbius, but it's all just speculation at this point.

For the record me bet's on The Lizard, with possibly a second villain.

I'd dig Morbius or Lizard (though I think that Lizard should have been the villain in the 3rd movie).

Think about it... "main" villain is the Lizard with Goblin II (or whatever the hell they called him) proving to be a nuisance for a good part of the movie. Spidey fixes the Lizard problem half-way to 3/4 through and Venom comes in as the big bad.

There, instantly a better film. The major theme would be fighting against the darkness within all of us. With Peter, this would be personified by the Symbiote. With Osborne, it would be personified by his father. With Connors, it would be personified by him becoming the Lizard. All three are GOOD people but are driven to do bad things by the darkness within.

And then Eddie/Venom symbolizes the darkness incarnate that they must destroy at the end. Connors discovers the way to defeat it, Peter and Harry team up and take Venom down. You can kill off Harry just as they did in the movie, but just as long as you keep the other stuff.

See? A MUCH better version of Spidey 3, and I just crapped it out within the past five minutes.
