Disney Working With Apple On Integration?

I've been hearing rumors of Steve Jobs ever increasing influence on the Disney Board. Some of my sources are saying in the future we can expect to see more integration with Apple Inc. as far as Disney products are concerned. These plans may not come to fruition in the near future, but several projects appear to be in the works.

One possibility, and this is not confirmed, but it is something one of my sources says he/she has heard from higher ups is some connection to Disney Mobile. This draws attention to the possibility of a "D-Phone"... my term, no theirs. Basically some form of content/Disney branded iPhone. Bob Iger wants to capitalize on the digital revolution that we are in right now and having one of the architects of it on your Board of Directors can be very advantageous. While these sources talk of the two companies working more closely together, Apple's ability to keep its intentions private as well as Disney's growing tightened security make it difficult to confirm hard data on this.

I'm sure Steve would have a smirk on his face if he saw that.

But we can expect a greater amount of synergy in the future. The opportunities to cross-mine Disney's brand and Apple's brand is a huge advantage in the global marketplace.

Couple of items. First, I assume you mean that Jobs has increasing influence over the DISNEY board, not the Apple board? Just curious.

Also, I stopped by earlier today and saw a headline for a Blue Sky Update for Anaheim, titled "Mother Road". Yet, now, no sign of it. You can't tease like that! I'm dyin' here...

I really enjoy the sight. Please keep up the good work.

Hmmm...

Are you SURE you saw that?

Perhaps you were seeing things?

Or maybe not...

Hehehe.

Bah! Just like a TROJAN to be sneaky!

I kid, I kid. I'm just very excited about what's going on in Anaheim and have been combing all sites trying to get more information. I'm trying to be patient, but it's like having a HUGE present put under the tree on December 1 and told to be patient till Christmas Day.

This is exciting news. Apple is one of the world's most innovative companies and can certainly help lead Disney into the digital world with much bravado. This is why I was a bit surprised to see Microsoft sponsoring Innoventions. Hmmm....

Maybe that's why the deal with Microsoft is only for 2 or 3 years?

Gives them time to plan for the new attaction and if they start building after the contract is up, well the year would happen to be 2011 or 2012.

Coincidence?
