Tonight, It Comes...

Tonight is the premiere of "High School Musical 2" on the Disney Channel. While I'm not a Tween and this doesn't appeal to me, if it gets the kind of numbers everyone is predicting...

Enjoy it. It will be the last "High School Musical" on the Disney Channel?

How can that be, you say? Well, if it's the huge hit the Mouse expects the next one, "Haunted High School Musical" will be theatrical as will any new films. Disney has made a half billion dollars from this show, CD's and other merchandise... more is on the way.

Dude, check the header date before you write that. It says Friday. He probably posted it early. Some bloggers do that.

Well, I have it setup to record on my DVR. I'm one of those people outside their demographic that actually enjoyed it.

I tried watching about ten minutes of this thing. I couldn't take it! Unless Ashley and those other girls were gonna start taking their clothes off, I had no interest in watching the first one, much less part 2.

HSM3 is no longer "Haunted" and creative have confirmed a March 2008 filmdate during the movie's premiere at DL Downtown Disney.

By filmdate do you mean release date or filming (as in production)?

Also, the name of the film will not be offial until it gets closer to post. There have been several titles floated here in Burbank, but the HSM 3 will likely not be it.

I agree. I was in several meetings over the last few weeks. It is unclear as to what the final name will be. Might as well go with Haunted High School Musical until it's new name is announced. That names as good as any others I heard pitched around TDB.
