Robot & Millionaire Tie...

And the awards keep coming...

The Boston Society of Film Critics has awarded their Best Picture of 2008 to both "Wall-E" and "Slumdog Millionaire." Another feather in the hat of the Mouse and more reason to pursue a nomination for Best Picture at the Oscars this year. Of course, it'll never win. The Academy looks down on animation, but it's worth nominating because of the accolades the little robot has gathered. Oh, and if you get a chance to see it, Millionaire is an amazing movie in its own right...

Well, do keep in mind the Academy looked down on "fantasy" films for generations (in spite of the fact that by the time the writers and directors got done with them, big winners like Cleopatra and Gladiator might has well have been "fantasy" for all the history left in them), but Lord of the Rings Return of the King still won it all one year. There's always hope...

If Wall-E is nominated for Best Picture it will lose to something like Milk.

It will be the biggest upset since E.T. lost to Ghandi.

Ok, now this is the point where Corruption comes in and makes a comment and Spokker and he take over the board with about ten or twenty posts. Hahaha!
