Luxolands...

If you weren't lucky enough to get to attend the D23 Expo then YouTube is here to save you...

There was a panel called "Imagineering Pixar for the Disney Parks" that had a fascinating conversation with Imagineers, Animators and Lasseter which any fan of the Lamp should love. Here for you to see is that panel, in eight glorious YouTube chapters.

I recommend watching all of the parts if you have the time. It's filled with thoughtful analysis by everyone with commentary you wouldn't expect from a company sponsored event. The last part is extremely candid with Lassetter offering up thoughts that I'm sure every Disney fan would be cheering in agreement.

Part One.
Part Two.
Part Three.
Part Four.
Part Five.
Part Six.
Part Seven.
Part Eight.

Enjoy...

Enjoyed the part about Turtle Talk at DisneySea. The pictures are quite amusing.

Overall everyone seemed to have a good time.
So jealous.

The Turtle Talk pictures from DisneySEA are the best!
That's the kind of theming we should be getting here. Damn those japaneses!

We're getting very nice theming, it's just taking so long because there's a lot to fix...

If you saw the end comments by Lasseter, then you realize it's going to be a priority of his for a while. Which is a very good thing for the DLR.

And hopefully, he'll be in charge when a Third Gate comes out and we won't have to go through this again...

Yes, watched the second half of videos and the speech by Lasseter through 7 and 8 was very good. He says a lot that makes sense. Generally quite honest in those two parts, not really slamming or condemming the management of project prior to his involvement (e.g. with DCA), but giving hope that change is underway in a good way.

He should slam executives who want to dry up creativity at the parks by building Pixar-attraction clones in every park.
