We're not in Kansas, Toto...
The first teaser poster for "Oz, The Great and Powerful" has been released...
And I love it. Finally a poster that is a poster. One that shows the world in which the movie exist, and has some semblance of narrative.
No publicity head shot of an actor with the name of the movie. I'm looking forward to this one. I've read the screenplay and am curious to see how it's pulled off.
Some of those scenes might be pretty bold for a Disney film.
If they only had a heart...

Well, it is just a TEASER poster. So that would account for it.
I'm sure we'll see a head shot in a future poster.
By the way, I too, am looking forward to this film.
There's just some movies that you dare not touch. Enough said.
They ain't touching the Wizard of Oz. They're telling a different story about Oz. This is based on Frank L. Baum's story, not MGM's interpretation.
How dare they not cast me!
I'm outraged at the use of these young, wippersnappers that think they can do anything just because they have a little more lift in their wings.
By the way, want to buy a little tonic? It's on sale. It can be yours... for a price.
A very small price.
I'll give Sam Raimi a chance, but this poster is UGLY. Badly composed, hardly teases, and is badly painted.
