Predatorial Direction...

Harry over at Ain't It Cool News has scooped who's directing the "Predator" sequel...

I've never heard of Nimrod Antal (Who names their kid Nimrod? Do they know what that means in English?), but I've been hearing good things about "Armored," his latest feature. Robert Rodriguez, who is working from his original script and producing is guiding the project and personally picked the director. I've been a huge fan of the original Arnold Schwarzenegger film and have been really disappointed with the sequel (Predator 2, lame!) and spin offs(AvsP, yuck!). The idea of approaching the film as what "Alien" was to "Aliens" is a great concept and I hope it turns out as great a comparison.

I am a big fan of Aliens and Predator, but the franchise was ruined moviewise when they did Aliens vs. Predator. Both movies were extremely bad in all aspects, you have Paul W.S. Anderson, the guy who ruined Resident Evil as well, to thank for that. This guy hasn't done a single, what I would call, good movie. Predator 2 was really terrible as well. It's, as my mother would say, blasphemy to continue doing remakes after remakes, Hollywood continues to prove how ineffective they are with everything, including originality, no movie coming out is original except for a few. Personally, Robert Rodrigues is a terrible director and he hasn't done a single good movie since Desperado in my opinion, not even Sin City was good. They're going to put the guy behind Spy Kids to remake one of the best alien races ever created? Are people even listening to this? This is just another attempt by 20th Century Fox, who hasn't done a single good movie in more than ten years, that's pretty bad if you ask me.
