Anything Is Possible If You Simply Believe...

Walt Disney always believed in doing the impossible...

He believed that dreams can come true. The undying American spirit was in every fiber of his body and action as the living embodiment of what it is to be an American.

Forty years ago today, a dream that was thought impossible for millenniums became a reality for us, and all mankind. It alone proves that anything can be done if you have the willpower and hard work together to make it happen.

All you have to do is start with a dream...

I want to believe.

It figure that you fawning Disney fans would believe that this corporatist state actually went to the moon.

I am somewhat disappointed that Obama has taken part in this farce with his honoring of those three pawns.

One giant step indeed.

I went to the moon! Its boring...

I'm giving the lunar hoax conspiracy theory more credence these days. The only reason why we ever went to the moon in the first place was because of the space race during the Cold War. We had to beat the commies and get their first so we could stick an American flag on their and claim it in the name of Democracy. And you wonder why we have never been back since.

$$$

That's why. It's expensive and our eyes have been on other thing lately. Sad, but true.

If you don't believe we went to the moon, sigh, I hate even having to say that statement then you should look into it a little further.

Actually, on Mythbusters the other day they rebroadcast their special where they debunked many of the theories that conspiracy nuts spout.

Buzz Lightyear, yer an idiot. Perhaps you should use your brain for more useful activities than trying to disprove the moon walk?

And I'm not talking about Michael Jackson's version.

Major Asshole, there''s no need for insults. I'm just saying that if it hadn't been for the Cold War we never would have gone to the moon. The U.S. space program is now a joke. I thought by 2010 it would be like the movie and we would have explored our solar system with expeditions to Mars and Jupiter but we'd rather just bankrupt the economy fighting oil wars against terrorists instead.

Buzz, actually the US did go back to the moon.

Budgets got cut to NASA so you can fuel your Jeep. The use of space exploration was no longer a race after the moon landing. Instead, they focused energies on the space station, experiments and development in zero-G and the hubble telescope. There are major complications and expenses with going to the moon and mars.

Don't forget, in the 60's, these guys were pushing themselves WAY past their limits. JFK set an almost impossible goal of getting to the Moon within the decade. Also, the Challenger accident made them stop and think a little bit too.

Do you know how much money it would cost to go to Jupiter? first, an entire moon base and figuring out how man can actually survive on the moon, then figuring out a way to get enough fuel into a rocket to get you to another planet.

The moon landing happened. I would dare you to look into the face of an astronaut who risked his life and tell him it was fake. Those guys have more bravery, courage and balls then i ever will in my life. They went to the moon for mankind, not because of some commie race or so that fat kids on a computer could say it was all fake. When they were strapped into the rocket heading into space, nothing mattered except for the spirit of exploration into the unknown. Have some respect.

I never said it was faked. I know we went to the moon, but we've never been back since the Apollo missions ended. We could have had a base on the moon by 1999 (lol) and we could have used it as a jumpstone to go to Mars by now. Instead, we do nothing except send probes to take pretty pictures and collect soil samples at the cost of millions of dollars in taxpayer monies. Alas, nobody cares about space anymore. They're too busy fighting over religious, political, and territorial disputes on who has claim to the Earth.

If you're giving it more credence that means you're inclined to believe the Kook conspiracies, Buzz. That's moving very close to saying it was faked.

Che Wha said it not me. I give it credence because NASA is a joke.

Che Wha? is a frikin' nut, socialist who hates America. Perhaps you should read more of his posts before agreeing with him.

Maybe Che Wha? has a point. You're an idiot for believing American media.
