The Return...

Steve Jobs is officially back to work as of today...

Even though he's been showing up on Apple's campus for the past couple weeks and been working quietly from home, today marks the end of his very public and self imposed sabbatical. There's an interesting article from PC Magazine that talks about his influence over Apple and how his presence is like that of Walt Disney over Walt Disney Productions. A good read. I highly recommend it.

Wonder what's going to happen at Disney's next board meeting...

Perfect graphic for the post. That's cracking me up.

It's nice to know Willy Wonka is back in the factory!

Hope he hangs in there, though recent events at Apple tell me that Jobs may have been pushed out of Apple by Scully as an embattled Eisner, but he came back to Apple as a visionary Disney. I think Apple is infused with Jobs love for design, for thinking out of the box, for the primacy of interface when it comes to computers and electronic devices . . . I think Apple will continue to excel for years, even if Jobs can't devote 24 hours a day to the company. But I hope he hangs in there.
