The Bay Lake Tower DVC expansion doesn't open until August, but the website for it is open now...
This is a really nice, well thought out website. Perhaps the Mouse should put these guys in charge of the websites for the parks? I didn't originally like this design, but I've slowly warmed up to it. I do love the interiors of this place, though. It looks spectacular and seems to follow the Contemporary's "Futuristic-Retro" look.
If only the new look of the Disneyland Hotel here at the California Resort winds up looking as grand and spectacular...

hunter, you can't possibly be referring to the Bay Lake Tower as "grand and spectacular."
It would be one thing if this piece of trash were built in Jersey City or Ft Lauderdale where it would pass as another faceless, middling "luxury" tower, but on the edge of the MK it is an abhorrent, appalling, hideous tumor of a building that murders sight lines both within the park and around Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon.
This building defecates on the uniqueness and legacy of the Contemporary by loudly crying, "Look at me! I was designed by a hack junior architect at talentless firm to remind you of the original with my A-frame crown, white horizontal stripes and monorail walkway gimmick. Yay!"
It unbalances the built and natural environment of the entire MK resort area. The damn thing can be seen from Liberty Square!!!
A philistine is a person who is guided by materialism and is usually disdainful of intellectual, historic or artistic value. This atrocity is a permanent monument to the philistines of the Walt Disney Company (Jay Rasulo, Meg Crofton, Al Weiss among others) and their shortsightedness, poor taste and avarice.
Oh, and I don't like the building.

I think that's what Honor was referring to, the interior. It does reflect that of the Contemporary and is pretty nice.
Honor, happily you are right about the interior's niceties. RandySavage, unfortunately you are right about the buildings themselves - I wholeheartedly agree.
You're right, the Bay Lake site looks good, and a lot less clunky than the park sites. It's a testament to the huge budgets and focus that are lavished onto DVC marketing. The DVC kiosks throughout the parks have more attention to detail than Dinoland USA and the Winnie the Pooh attraction, and more quality than Epcot's The Seas with Nemo and Journey into Imagination. I did the DVC tour where they gave us a beautiful 100+ page hard cover, full color glossy book selling the details of the timeshares. And there was more "magic" in the interactive video tour they presented than Mission Space and Test Track combined. If they would only shift the budgets and human capital they are using for DVC into the actual parks, the DVC's could sell themselves with probably 75% less marketing money and time.
I think they should expand the monorail, but I doubt that will happen now after the accident.

Stop putting down everything new that Disney does! That foolish behavior only continues to diminish the fan community as a whole rather than elevate it!
