Russian Ranger...

Another international trailer for Walt Disney Pictures "The Lone Ranger" is out...

This one is from Russia and shows a bit of new footage.  It looks like this is going to be an action packed, good old fashioned yarn.  Take a look and see what 200+ million will buy you.  It's obviously in Russian, but action is universal and you should have no problem following what is going on.  Guns and explosions are a language all humanity speaks.

If this is a success, I wonder how it will play into WDI's plans (wishes) for Frontierland?  There's room for an expansion if the Suits feel like opening up their pockets.  If the Masked Man is popular it might be very good for another area of the park since Tomorrowland has been the focus the last year or so.  Imagine nothing of significance for a couple years, though.  Until then, enjoy playing Cowboys and Indians again.

The Wild West will be here before you know it...

A Frontierland attraction would make a lot more sense if Eisner hadn't sold the rights off after they acquired them when they bought Wrather.

The movie looks terrible on all fronts. But if it's successful, I'm sure all walk-around characters at the park will look like arnie hammer. Except for the churro sellers, which will look like jonny dep.

Not at Disneyland. WRE was HUGE. There's not anywhere near the land they'd need. Disney World maybe, but it's not in the plans. Perhaps in Paris (nope), or in China, either Hong Kong or Shanghai? A possibility, but nothing in the planning so far.
